Hi im Rebecca and when i was young i lived in Afirca and i learnt to ride Ponies in Africa on a pony called motot which means little child.When i was their i met lots of great people even though i was only 3 when i lefted  to go other places in the world i still remember most people rich and poor.My family sponsors a family. their daughter Hidia was also my best friend.We pay $100 each month to Hidias family and that pays for some of their food and their education I love Hidia and i will always remember her.

My Christmas Wish:
I wish that Hidia gets money to pay for her edcucation and will live in a house and be happy and being able to by a food over Christmas  and be healthy for the rest f her life.

I was so excited last year when  found out that I was in Kauri.When i saw Kauri for the first time I was very excited it was full of art and was covered in photos and had two computers in the corner.When the summer holidays were over I started in Kauri and it looked beautiful it was empty though but when the day had started Mr Hornby said that at the end of the year the room would be full of art and photos and flags and Rugby t-shirts and he was right our room is full of all of those things and it looks totally different to what it was last year.

Next Tuesday I am going to the Regonails and I am in high jump , long jump and sprints. I am soooo excited cause this is my second year going and last year I got into everything apart from vortex and quoit and one sad thing is that it is in Wellington again so I have to taken over the other side of the hill just to do four activities .

   Year 5 camp

Hi Im Leah and i am going to talk to you about year 5 camp.

Well year 5 camp was on Thursday the 6th of November 2014.

Year 5 camp was a 1 night camp at Mt Holdsworth.But unfortuneately we had to sleep at school because of the bad weather.
After my dad and i pitched our tent,we helped Mr horby make our dinner.Our dinner was...Sausages,Sausage rolls,Salad.

After dinner and dessert we all played a game of spotlight.Maia and i won because when Mr Hornbys whistle blew and no body found us Oh how i loved year 5 camp.

MY weekend

17/   hello im going to tell you when i went to lordes concert  it was in wellington ASB bank arena i was at the front on the right it was cool.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       and im going to talk about yr 5 camp we had to camb at school at night we played spotlight i was hiding in the bush with demi and rileigh my friends. and then after we had to go back up and then i was in with rilleigh kara and there were more people that were in. me and rilleigh and demi were runing fast and then demi fall over it was a big BANG we were lughing  and about we went to sleep at 9 30. toby and joseph were lughing all night like to 1.00. in the moring. And about 5.00 in the moring they started talking.  It was COLD VERY COLD.  then we went for a big walk like a hour walk to the swing bridge. It was fun then I walk back in the river my shoes got wet. then ashtons dad helped me and people find a tolete. so we went.  he said wach out theres some pigs and he yalled theres A BIG and we were runing but he was lieing so then we went back and had lunch.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        IT WAS FUN THE END .....

Hi im going to tell you loads of stuff that's happened so last Wednesday it was my birthday im 10 now.It was also mr Hornbys to.I got lots of stuff  i was so spoiled. There was also yr 5 camp we went for long long walks my shoes are wrecked now but thats ok .We went to the swing bridge it was so scary i didnt go on the swing bridge i waited at the other side.I saw some of the people going thrue the river it would of been very cold like ice cubes. It took so long to get up to the swing bridge well for me  but it was not as long going down back to the lodge it was all the working for tho.When we got back to the lodge we had some sossages and bread or bread with salad. Hi,Last week on Friday the whole of Solway School we  had a tabloids afternoon all our house colours competed in lots of activities.Our house colours are Yellow,Red,Blue and Green.The sports that we did was sack races,egg and spoon race,Gumboot throw,discus on your head,hoop throw,relay running and river rush.The one I liked the most was sack races it was really fun.I just about fell over that's why it was fun.The winning team as blue they did the best team work and they cheered on there team.The tea that i am in is Red it is the best that's all for now thanks

Hi Everyone, Welcome back after the holidays. We have had a busy first week, we can't say we have been to the mountain but we had the next best thing and that was inline hockey came to Solway School. It was pretty challenging but heaps of fun. Ashton got a sprained wrist and I tested how hard our new court was with my Gluteus Maximus. (for the record, it is hard!!) We ahve a teacher only day on Friday so that makes 2 short weeks in a row.

Chertsey ski trip

On Wednesday 10 September Chertsey School went to Mt Hutt for our ski trip we have every year. We were at the top of Mt Hutt for hours skiing on the mountain  .We did stop for lunch and morning tea here are a few pictures of the day

Mini ball WIN!

On Tuesday I had a mini ball game at 6:45 pm, I know that's late I didn't even have tea till after the game.Well back too the game,in my team there is Summer,Angel,Ziean,Emma,Haily,Jorgi,Mano our coach,Logan Mano's helper and of course me.We play at Oxford Staidiam in Ashburton at first I got the third score it was awesome when the game had finished and we had ten and they had six,oh and I play for Fairton Firecrackers!

Trip to Twizel

On Friday 5th September the whole class went on a trip to Twizel. We went to Twizel because our topic was about fish. So we went to High Country Salmon. We had an awesome time there but we had to go.So then we went to a park that was cool.Then 2 people came from Fish and Game. Their names were Jade and Hamish. Then we went to a canal to go fishing. But sadly we all had to go home. Here are some photos of our day.

Now, I will ask you again, are you addicted to Skoolbo like us? Maybe not but the only 2 reasons that we play whenever we can is that we need 25,000 ticks to get a prize pack and we love everything about Skoolbo. We even sent a e-mail to Skoolbo about maybe lowering the amount and she made it 1000 ticks each! In the weekend I went to my sisters hockey break up but it was really fun because we played soccer then we played dodge ball second then hockey at the end my dad was goalie in all the  we went into the kitchen part and got all the rewards my sister got a most improved dad and I were very happy for her even though I hate her we were pleased with her 

Today me and some of my friends are making a imovie about a evil villin that has captured on of the three maskatears .I think that it will be awesome!!!

Mountain

Next weekend , I'm going to go up to the mountain(Mount Ruapheu)with all of my family. We will be staying at my mum's friend's house. My big brother grew out of his ski pants so my um had to borrow some off my aunty. I've been there before but only on the beginers slope but this time I am going to take a lesson so I can move up a level.

In the weekend I played in the netball finals. It was an amazing game. The goals were unstoppable. There goal our goal there goal our goal. We faced saint Patricks. I was goal defence and goal keeper. I was marking a boy called victor and a girl but I don't know her name. We had a lot of people watching us in the finals. In my team there is me Beau-Leah, Tia, Maia, Olivia, Sophie, Etri, Katie, Charlize, Emma, Rose and Amelia. Tia and Katie didn't get to play the whole game.

"Chat" "Chat" all people were talking about was something Like blah blah well that was what I heard haha.

Well anyway cut to the chase the (PRODUCTION) The lights glared onto the stage like the moon shining down on the earth, Mr.Hornby said his stuff on the stage like welcome blah blah the exits are blah blah yeah something like that, the first song was tonight's the night, that's only one of my dances the other is your feet are too big, I liked it when the off stage inspector jack that was Dylan in my class, anyway and FNB that stands for Fairy Nasty Boots the off stage inspector said (I'll throw away my rule book and we'll be bugs in a rug) and then they hugged it was actually quite cute well that's the (PRODUCTION) duh duh duuuuuuh

We had a dress rehearsal on Friday in the hall (for those who couldn't make it to our other venue)
Monday we are all heading to the Lighthouse and will present our production - a matinee on Monday afternoon and an evening performance on Tuesday at 6pm. We have set out 250 chairs for Tuesday night and we have already sold over 200!! We will be videoing the Tuesday performance and will post online (I think).
We finally had everyone at school on Thursday, I have added the picture below your class picture.

Hey some of you should know I like do writing.Here is a piece of writing I did in term one.

THE AMAZING BEACH DAY

When I pranced out of the car a scent of salt water grabbed my nose. As we went up the steps to the club house the shouting of the waves grabbed my attention and got me excited.

As Jade and Louise told us what we were doing I couldn’t wait to get started. I was amazed when I saw everyone’s stunning castles after morning tea. After lunch we did some extremely fun games. After that we all got into our colourful swim suits and went inside. Room three were the dolphins and room one were the turtle ducks. The dolphins did boogie boarding first and the turtle ducks did swimming first.

When it was the dolphins turn to go swimming we dived over to the salty sand .We rolled all over the sand to make ourselves into salty sand monsters. Afterwards we were smothered in sand. We shrieked ‘WOOH’ we dove into the humongous waves and glided over there salty surface. When we all got into our uniforms we said thank you to Jade and Louise for having us. We all got sorted into cars. On the way back Miss Gaskin got us ice-creams. I got a lemonade and raspberry twist. I felt the power to go back again with my family.

Hi my name is Lachlan i am 10 years old and I am the only year 6!!. I live on a farm with my family of five. My family is Vicki my Mum, Dave my dad and my brother and sister Ashton and Danielle. On our farm we farm sheep and cattle and we are about to get some chickens. Is have two of my own dog ps named jet and pudding I named  her pudding because it looks like she has had lot of ice cream and become fat. Last month we were shifting sheep and we came around the corner and we had a dead hole for dead sheep so what happened we came around the corner were we found a sheep scrumming on the rotting wood so my dad jumped off his bike and scud on the concret and tried to grab the sheep but he only grabbed the ear of the sheep and he could not hold on any longer and it feel to its death.
